Master This: Best Fall Makeup Trends 2017

Cozy knits, vampy nails and pumpkin spice lattes mean that Fall is officially here. As summer (and your tan) fades into a memory, your make-up routine is likely going from a barely-there, sun-kissed face to a more dramatic. Did we hit the nail on the head there?

As the evenings get longer, dim lighting and candles mean good lighting is everywhere – it’s a literal Insta filter for your face, and we are SO down with that! Add a new fall beauty look, and you’re golden.

The latest Fall makeup trends include jewel-tone smokey eyes with metallic eyeshadows in electric colours, feathery lashes (both bottom and top), bold lips and just-in-from-the-cold blush. For the perfect Fall face, pick 1 or 2 of your fave looks and incorporate them into your makeup routine.

For now, we’re breaking down one of Denise’s FAVE fall beauty looks, and trust us, you’ll love experimenting with the colours of the season and rocking these trends!

GET THE LOOK

1. First thing’s first: hydrate! I can’t stress this enough – a glowy complexion is the base of any great makeup. Glo Minerals has a soft luxurious daytime cream with a built in SPF. Two pumps is all you will need!

 2. Foundation doesn’t have to be cakey or thick. Choose a foundation suited for your skin type and apply a very thin coat! You want your skin to look fresh. My current fave is the Stila Stay All Day Foundation combined with Stila Aqua glow concealer. Finish with the Glo Minerals Luxe Setting Powder and Compact Bronzer to warm up the skin! We sell each of these products in the shop, and would love to colour match you.

3. Eyes!

Always start with a primer, my fave is the Paul & Joe Eye Colour Primer in shade 02. Next, using the Stila Matte and Metals Palette, sweep a bit of the camel tone shadow on the lid and into the crease. Blend the darker colour into the crease to make the eyes pop. This look was created with all the matte shadows in the palette as opposed to the shimmer shades. To make my brown eyes pop, I lined both the top and bottom using black amethyst smudge liner from Stila.

4. Brows

Brows make a huge different, and most of all frame the face! My go-to fav is the Glo Skin Beauty brow pencil. It’s easy to use and glides on! A must have in any makeup bag.

5. Lips

To finish off the look, I used a deeper berry shade, however, the formula is sheer, so if you’re looking for a darker lip, but don’t want to commit,Stila colour balms in Elyssa is for you to try!
