Brock House Garden Wedding

Jen & Joe tied the knot with their closest family and friends at one of Vancouver’s most sought after venues, Brock House Restaurant, which provided a stunning view for their close knit ceremony and reception.

After a super sweet first look the couple shared private vows before heading down the aisle.

We love the simple elegant style of this beautiful garden wedding.

Bridal Look

Denise, Owner and founder of the Beauty Co., had the pleasure of beautifying Jen for her big day. With Jen’s requests in mind, Denise created an elegant and timeless look to compliment Jen’s style.

With Jen’s classic style in mind, Denise chose to stick mainly to matte shadows, leaving Jen’s lid light, with a medium tone through the crease and darker shades on the outer corner to create just the right amount of subtle smoke. Glo Skin Beauty Elemental Eyeshadow Palette had all the perfect neutral shades for Jen’s classic eye look. And for liner that will not budge is a staple in any makeup artists kit, and Denise’s go to is Stila Smudgepot Liner.

Jen prefers full coverage when it comes to foundation, so Denise reached for one of her all time favourites, Stay All Day Foundation and Concealer. Applied with a damp beauty blender, this foundation gives a flawless finish that isn’t cakey and will last all day and night. Glo Skin Beauty Mineral Pressed Powder perfected Jen’s complexion even more and set everything into place. For a little more color on her face, Denise used Stila Kitten Bronzer Duo on Jens complexion to shape her cheekbones. Then added Glo Skin Beauty Mineral Blush in Sweet that gave a a fresh peachy-pink colour.

Our talented stylist Shelley was on hair, and we love the effortless waves she created for Jen. It was important for Jen that her hair was styled to look natural and not overly curled for a more relaxed vibe.

Shelley recommended to Jen that she prep her hair by double washing the day before with Living Proof Perfect Day Shampoo and Conditioner. Hair that is clean and bone dry is key for Shelley when creating any down hair style to ensure the hot tools don’t damage the hair and that it wont fall flat!

Shelley deepened Jen’s side part for this style to add a little touch of glamour. Prepping first with Living Proof Heat Styling Spray, Shelley used a Aria Beauty 2″ Infrared Straighter to create voluptuous curls, combing through with her fingers when she was done to relax the curls.

Next, Shelley applied Living Proof Full Dry Volume Blast to the roots and through the ends for instant volume and texture. A final spritz of Living Proof Flexible Hairspray ensured the longevity of Jen’s style while keeping it touchable and brushable.

We love how Shelley styled one side tucked behind Jen’s ear, showing off her beautiful drop earring and keeping her face open.
