Twilight Themed Grouse Mountain Wedding

Genia and Alex said I do in a truly memorable, “Twilight” themed ceremony on top of Grouse Mountain before heading down the gondola to a dreamy oceanside dinner.

Sambajoy Photographers captured the magic of this day perfectly, and Chrissie of Dreamgroup Wedding and Event Planners was the driving force making A & G’s vision a reality.

While the venues themselves were amazing, the decor by Koncept Events was what really took everything to the next level!

Bridal Look

Our hair and makeup artist Sarah, matched the regal vibes of Genia’s bridal style with an elegant structured updo. The bun she assembled high up on the crown was twisted into rose like swirls. To create the volume Genia desired, Sarah added a few Beauty Co clip in extensions along with a doughnut. Lots of bobby pins and Living Proof Control Hairspray later, the results were a secure updo with plenty of height and body. For the final touch, Sarah added Evo Love Touch Shine Spray, a weightless spray that adds incredible shine and protects from humidity.

During her trial, Sarah learned that Genia is not a fan of heavy makeup. However, with it being one of the hottest days of the summer, Sarah knew she needed to use a foundation with staying power! She opted for Stila Stay All Day Foundation and Concealer applied with a damp Beauty Blender for a more sheer and natural look, building coverage where needed.

Reaching for shades from Make Up Forever, Sarah kept a soft pale shimmery taupe shade (D-552 Crystalline Grey Beige) through the center of the lid adding a swiss chocolate brown (S-616 Chocolate) through the crease. She used a warm soft brown (M-650 Cookie) to blend. Using her go-to Stila Smudge Pot gel for liner that will not budge, Sarah created a black winged liner to the top lash line, softened with a dark brown shadow. Fluttery individual lashes added volume and length to enhance and open her eyes even more. This bridal look was complete and Genia was giving major Grace Kelly vibes in her classic long sleeve lace ballgown and gorgeous cathedral veil.
