Denise Elliott Beauty Co. had the pleasure of being involved in this gorgeous styled wedding shoot taken by the talented Melia Lucida. Located at the historic L’Abattoir restaurant in Gastown, this styled shoot had such a magical romantic story that we wanted to share with you! Owner and founder of the Beauty Co, Denise Elliott, created this romantic make-up look inspired by the warmth of fall colours using earth tone shades on the eyes and apple red for the lips.

Starting with the eyes, primer was applied all over the lid to ensure shadow stayed in place and colour’s wore beautifully. Solstice cream shadow stick was applied all over the lid as a base. Using a bronze shadow in the crease and rich chocolate brown in the outer corner gave this eye look a sultry smokey-eye look. Brows were filled in and shaped using a fine brow pencil. To enhance the lashes a thick black gel-liner was applied along with coats of a volumizing mascara. Mink lashes in the style “Audrey” completed the eyes with an Old Hollywood style flare!

Using a Beauty Blender, a full coverage foundation and concealer was applied to give the skin a flawless finish. Setting powder was used all over to ensure long-wearing power. Warming up the face with bronzer following the natural contours of the face giving it that healthy sun-kissed glow. A rosy cream blush was used to give the cheeks a dewy look. To add some extra radiance to the complexion, highlighter was applied to the highpoints of the face. For the lips Denise chose a gorgeous apple red lipstick followed with a gloss overtop to give it that stunning shine.

Our talented hairstylist, Shelley, styled the hair into a low bun with soft curls. For a glamourous effect, a stunning jeweled hair band piece was set in the hair.

Starting with the eyes, Denise used the Stila Shimmer & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow in Jezebel as a base all over lid. Creating dimension, a gorgeous shadow palette of deep rose gold and earthy brown shades were applied in the crease and outer corner of the eye. Brows were groomed and set using a clear brow gel. A black liquid liner was used on the upper lash line followed with black mascara and a set of flirty mink lashes in the style “Marilyn”.

For the complexion Denise wanted to keep Katie’s skin looking radiant and glowing. To achieve this, a luminous hydrating foundation was applied. Using a foundation stick, this was used under the eyes as concealer. This hydrating formula kept the skin looking fresh and healthy. A loose setting powder was used to tone down any shiny areas on the T-zone. A radiant bronzer was applied to the skin to warm up the complexion followed with a soft pink blush to the apples of the cheeks. To keep the skins radiant glow, Denise used her favourite illuminating highlighter from Stila in “Kitten Shimmer” on the cheekbones. To enhance Katie’s lip shape a nude lipliner was used, followed with a sheer pink liquid lipstick to fill in the lips.

Shelley styled the hair into gorgeous Hollywood waves. Deep wavy hair and glossy finish creating a glamorously elegant look.
