Navy Smoke Holiday Makeup Tutorial

We’re getting closer to Christmas and New Years Eve, so I’m arming you with a super simple 6 step holiday makeup tutorial! Our new eye shadow quads from glo skin beauty make this one super easy to do pre-party, or as a way to amp up your daytime makeup. Follow along, below!

Step 1: Complexion

To achieve a flawless complexion, I used the glo Luminous foundation for a nice medium coverage. This new foundation has diamond powder in it which creates the most stunning glow on the skin!  Set the foundation with the glo perfecting powder and then warm up the skin and contour with the glo Sunkiss Bronzer. On the apples of the cheeks, I dusted Melody blush and blended upwards (this will give your face a lifted look).

Now on to the main component of this look: eyes and lips!

Step 2: Eyes

With the Paul and Joe Eye Colour Primer as the base (a must have), these shadows not only will look very pigmented, but they will hold all day! I used the champagne tone in the Hey Sailor glo palette on the lid and into the crease.

Contour and shape the eye! Using the toast shade from the palette, I swept into the crease corner to corner, and added the midnight blue shade into the outer corner to create more depth.

Step 4: Eyes – The Liner

Packing more of the midnight blue shade on a small blending brush, I stippled onto the bottom and top lash line to create a smokey liner.

Step 5: Eyes – Mascara

With this look, make sure to apply at least two coats of black mascara to achieve thick, voluminous lashes! I’m loving the Lash Fusion XXL mascara at the moment.

Step 6: Lips

To complete this sultry holiday look, I used one of the Stila colour balm lipsticks in Aubrey. This minty moisturizing lipstick will leave the lips feeling both cool and smooth!

I hope you have fun creating this look for your holiday and New Years parties!

XO, Denise Elliott
