This week for Wedding Wednesday we are featuring Diana & Aaron’s Van Dusen Garden wedding reception from last season.
Diana and Aaron had a destination wedding in beautiful Maui. How lucky for Diana to be able to redo the whole day again just a week later with even more of their family and friends. And…what bride would not want to wear there gown again, especially if it’s Alvina Valenta!?
I had the pleasure of beautifying Diana the year prior, when she was a bridesmaid in her best friends wedding. I remember the moment Diana looked in the mirror, she was so happy with the makeup and hair we created and couldn’t wait to book us for her big day!
Diana planned this all on her own and was very excited to share this full experience with her guest. The neutral colour palette and abundance of greenery from Celsia Florist was captured beautifully by Lauren Kurc Photography. Diana was able to incorporate a few of her favourite pieces from the Maui ceremony including the sequin table runners and the bride and groom signs on the chairs.
The Bridal Look:
With Diana’s beautiful fair skin and rich brown hair I had a clear idea of what would look the most natural, yet polished for her big day. Diana’s only request was to look like herself with enough makeup for photos, this was like music to our ears as of course this is what we do best!
I loved creating a flawless and fresh complexion for her. It was important to keep the makeup very neutral by using bronze tone on her eyes with black gel liner to pronounce the lash line. She has gorgeous eyes and having a full strip of lashes really created a pop to her eyes. To finish off the look I chose one of my favourite lipsticks from Armani that suited Diana’s skin tone perfectly!
Christina used her amazing talent to create this elegant up do with texture that Diana absolutely loved!
