Botanical Garden Wedding

Happy Wednesday Friends! First off, I just want to say sorry we have been a little MIA over the last few weeks. It’s been crazy busy with opening our store which we are SO excited about. And now we are back at it and very excited to share some gorgeous weddings with you all!

This week for Wedding Wednesday we are feature this beautiful  botanical garden wedding. Located on the UBC school grounds, this garden is full of overflowing greens and lush flowers. The perfect set for N & J’s big day!

With planning by the lovely Smitten events, every rustic yet elegant detail envisioned by Norrie came to life. With Christie Graham behind the lens, this clear summer day brought out every detail needed to capture the love between these two.

Although having an abundance of nature around them, Greenstems florists added the perfect amount of neutral florals to compliment the grounds and decor. N&J were lucky enough to have the rain clear just in time for the first look!

 The Bridal Look:

My Senior artist Emily and Hair stylist Christina had the pleasure of working with Norrie on her big day. Norrie has been a ballerina since she was little and also runs a barre fitness studio in North Vancouver so it was a no brainer to have her gorgeous blonde locks in a classic ballerina bun!

For makeup, it was important for Norrie to feel like herself, understated yet polished.

First Emily started with an illuminating primer to create a glow to the skin along with using one of our favourite foundations, Armani. This was blended lightly into the skin to create that natural, flawless complexion. Next, Emily used a sheer loose powder to set the foundation, which helps control any oil throughout the day.

For Norrie’s bright blue eyes we used soft beige tones with a touch of champagne shadow on her lid. To pronounce her lash line we added a smooth bold black gel liner.

To finish Norrie’s look Emily applied a soft pink blush to bring out a rosy glow on the cheeks. For her lips,  we blended a pink glossy stain to compliment the overall look.
