As were in full swing wedding season over here, I’ve been a bit MIA with our blog posts lately. Today for Wedding Wednesday I’m excited to be posting our West Coast styled session, which has been recently featured in Vale and Vine.
The West Coast has so much to offer our Brides and is just one of the many reasons why this styled shoot turned out so beautiful! This session was photographed by Wind and River Photography during a one on one photography workshop with the ever so talented Christie Graham !
The Beauty Look
The abundance of florals by Celsia Florist along with this delicate lace gown by Hayley Paige from Blush Bridal made for great inspiration when styling the hair and makeup.
The inspiration for this session came from the natural deep hues of the Pacific Ocean. In order to create a complimenting look to this we did a soft eye with bold lashes and a rosy pink lip colour.
1. Complexion
With this look we wanted to complexion to look as fresh and natural as possible. Using my all time favourite foundation, Armani luminous silk I light blending it into the skin having her skin still shine through.
2. Cheek & Lip:
To complement the rosy pink tones in the florals we used tinted lip balm, Amelia from Stila and a similar tone blush on the apples of the cheeks.
3. Eyes:
We used a rose gold eyeshadow swept across the eyelid and a taupe shade in the crease, then blended in the outer corners to create more depth. With my favourite black gel liner from Bobbi Brown I create a smooth line from corner to corner of the lash line as well as tight lining in the water line. The eyes were definitely our focus for this look so we wanted to amp up the models lash line by individual lashes.
