A night on the town with your guy (hey, or even a night out with your girls!) calls for an extra special look, wouldn’t you say? Get your date night makeup on lock with our step-by-step tutorial!
PRODUCTS WE USED:
Step 1 Foundation and Concealer:
To start, always prep skin with a face primer, we used the Stila One Step Correct! This is what will keep your complexion looking fresh all night long. Next apply a small amount of the Stila Aqua Serum Concealer underneath eyes and blend out gently with fingertips. Proceed to foundation and apply with a large buffing brush (our fav is the glo skin beauty). Starting at the center of your face, apply Stila Stay All Day foundation and blend outwards and softly down the start of the neck.
Step 2 Bronzer, Blush and Highlight:
Next, we set the skin with glo Pressed Base, to lock everything in place. Using the same method, we pressed a small amount of glo Luxe translucent powder under eyes. Grab a large fluffy brush and warm up the skin with Stila’s matte brown Stay All Day contouring bronzer. Apply along the hairline, down, under the cheekbones and softly along the jawline. Add a pop of colour to the apples of the cheeks with Stila convertible color cream blush in Lillium. Use your fingertips to blend softly up along the cheekbone. Complete the face with a little glow! We used Stila’s highlighter in Kitten. Use a brush to sweep this along the tops of cheekbones and a little down the bridge of your nose.
Step 3 Eyes:
The first step that we always start with when doing a smokey eye is primer, since it locks on the pigment while deepening it at the same time. Apply Paul & Joe 02 all over lid to neutralize eyelid and act as a base. Next, grab the Stila Matte N’ Metal eyeshadow palette and using a dome shape brush, mix Fringe and Velour into crease. With a flat top shader brush, pick up the colour smolder and sweep across entire lid. To darken up this look at Stila liner in Lionfish along lash line and smudge outwards to create some depth. Complete the eye with Stila black gel liner. Apply along the lash line starting at the inner corner getting slightly thicker towards the outer corner and flick upwards into a wing. To add some more drama to this look take our lid colours (fringe and smolder) and using a small, dense brush smudge into lower lashline.
Highlight the top of the brow bone and inner corner of the eye with Featherhead.
Step 4 Lips:
We complete this date night makeup look with a pretty pink lip! Using the pink end of Paul & Joe 02 Liner, outline lips to create definition. Then top with Stila Liquid Lipstick in the colour Angelo for a matte look or also add Paul & Joe lip gloss 02 on top.
Want to take it up a notch?
We think this look looks beautiful like this, but if you want something a little more dramatic we recommend adding a set of false mink lashes. One of our favorites is our set of lashes in #64.
That completes our date night makeup look for your night out with your guy or the girls… now go have fun, will ya?!
