Do the rainy days have you hitting the snooze button one too many times?
I have a simple and quick 10 minute tutorial for those rushed mornings that will have you walking out the door with a fresh face!
Starting with a clean and moisturized face, apply small dots of a tinted primer or foundation to your entire face and begin blending with fingers. I love the Paul & Joe Beauty Tinted Primer for hydrating coverage that still looks and feels like skin.
Next, we want to set the base so our coverage lasts all day. Using the Paul & Joe Pressed Base Powder with a large fluffy brush, gently sweep and press the powder over the entire face.
Now that my skin-tone is evened out, it’s time to add a bit of bronzer to warm things back up. Placement for this should be where the sun would naturally hit the face- the forehead, just below the cheek bones, and the jawline. The application should mimic the number “3” on each side of the face when done as one motion.
Next, I’m using a peachy-pink blush in the shade Melody from Glo Minerals. The best way to make sure your blush placement is correct is to smile while blending on the roundest part of the cheek.
My favourite trick for a super quick eye is to use cream shadow sticks. They make for a fool-proof application and can be blended with your fingers (so easy!!). Glo Skin Beauty makes a wide range of shades to suit any look or skin-tone. I’m using the Concord Cream Shadow Kit which is the perfect set to have in your makeup bag!
I’m starting by adding the shade Solstice to the entire base of my eyelid. You can leave it as is or go in with a shade darker in the outer corner and crease for added dimension. Harsh lines and mistakes can be quickly fixed by blending away with fingers.
Finish off the eyes with a nice coat of mascara on the top and bottom lashes. I’m using the Stila Huge Mascara. Great for adding lots of extra volume and length 🙂
No time for a precise lip? No problem! Add colour and moisture to your pout with one swipe of Glo Mineral’s tinted glosses. Not too sticky and no fuss for easy application! I’ve used the shade Doll Face for this look 🙂
That’s a wrap. A polished look in 10 minutes that still looks like you!
Keep an eye out for my next blog post that features two of the darker shades from the Concord Shadow Kit where I’ll be showing you how to create an easy and glam evening look!
