This Week for Wedding Wednesday we are featuring Katie and Nolan’s Vancouver Club reception.
As some of you may not know, Katie is the Wedding and Catering Sales Manager at this gorgeous venue. She has executed some of the most stunning weddings and events in the city. It was such a pleasure for myself and our beauty team to be a part her special day. She was seriously one calm bride!
Katie envisioned her wedding to be held in her parents backyard at the house she grew up in. Of course the weather didn’t want to cooperate at ALL, so they made the final call morning of to transform the living room into the ceremony space. The overflow of florals and decor by Evan of Koncept event design made it just like a fairytale for Katie and Nolan. It looked perfect.
The Bridal Look:
Since Katie had seen my work first hand at the Vancouver Club, she had a clear idea of her makeup style for the big day. It was a fun year leading up to her wedding, as I did makeup for her engagement party and a few other events along the way!
We started with an illuminating primer to smooth out and brighten Katie’s skin. I used my favourite luminous foundation to even out her complexion and created a flawless finish with the armani luminous powder
To warm up the skin we used a matte bronzer and an illuminating soft pink blush. Then, to compliment her natural lip tone we used the Glo Minerals suede lip crayon.
For Katie’s eyes we went for natural glamour. While enhancing her lash line with black gel liner and mink lashes we also contoured her eye with shades of taupe and champagne for highlight.
It doesn’t take much to make this venue look elegant and timeless but with the talented photography of Sachin Kona you can really feel the sentiment of this day.
