Stanley Park Pavilion Wedding

Alexa and Patrick were married pre-Covid times on August 31st 2019 at the Stanley Park Pavilion, the couple and their photographer Jamie Delaine held off on sharing images publicly of the big day as they were submitting to magazines for a potential feature.

A wedding planner herself with Dream Group Production, Alexa’s wedding was planned to perfection with so many gorgeous details! Our role was to make her hair and makeup just as perfect! Keep reading for the full beauty breakdown on her classic bridal look.

Bridal Look

Denise, owner and founder of the Beauty Co., had the pleasure of beautifying Alexa for her big day. To go with Alexa’s personal style, dress, and wedding vibes, Denise wanted to create a soft and romantic makeup look with a touch of glamour.

To highlight Alexa’s blue eyes, Denise used the warm brown hues in the Glo Skin Beauty “The Velvets” palette to create a soft, smokey look. A pair of DE Beauty Co Mink Lashes added volume and length to draw attention to and open up the eyes. Denise added volume and definition to Alexa’s lash line with a subtle black winged liner. “For a true matte black that won’t budge, Stila Smudge Pot in Black is my go to gel eyeliner for all my brides.”

Denise chose Glo Skin Beauty HD Mineral Foundation Stick for a natural skin-finish effect. “The lightweight and long lasting creamy formula wears so well, perfect for a wedding day!” To add shape and definition to Alexa’s evened out complexion, Denise reached for her trusty Stila Twin Cheeks Kitten & Bronzer Duo. “The bronzer shade in this palette works great for contour and the Kitten highlighter adds a gentle glow.”

For a natural flush Denise used Glo Skin Beauty Mineral Blush in Melody on the apples and sweeping up the cheekbones for a lifted look. Glo Skin Beauty’s Love Potion Lipstick was the perfect rosy shade for Alexa’s lips, with a touch of Beloved Gloss over the top for a little shine! “The Glo Skin Beauty lip glosses feel moisturizing on the lips, not sticky at all!”

To finish the look, Denise sprayed Makeup Forever Mist & Fix setting spray to settle the makeup into the skin and help it last through all the emotions and partying of the day!

Alexa chose one of our most requested bridal hairstyles, a half up do with soft cascading curls. Our talented freelance hair artist, Sam, favours a flat iron to create long lasting curls, and Living Proof Style Lab Flex Hairspray for flexible and lasting hold that never feels stiff or crunchy. Sam reached for Evo Love Touch Shine Spray, ( which smells incredible, like watermelon!) to give a healthy shine.

Sam created a small amount of volume at the crown of Alexa’s head, pulling the hair up from further back and leaving pieces out to frame her face. The style was completed with a beautiful jeweled clip which sat nicely on top of a stunning cathedral veil.
