December has flown by with a busy month of holiday parties, get togethers, a pretty heavy work load and now it’s already just days away from New Years Eve! This New Year’s Eve makeup tutorial is going to teach you steps to look your best for the biggest night of the year!
I teamed up with my good friends Alicia and Alex creating similar beauty looks for them both. If you don’t already follow their blogs head on over as they have some great alternative outfit ideas instead of that typical fancy New Year’s Eve dress. These girls have great style and I absolutely loved this classic look on them both! Christie Graham (another good friend) did the photos of course.

Alex’s New Year’s Eve Makeup look:
Red Lips and Winged Eye Liner
For Alex, I created a strong winged liner and rich red lipstick, perfect for your New Year’s Eve outfit! I kept the eyeshadow neutral with a light champagne on the lid and then darker the out corner with a copper/bronze colour blending in a “V”. Next, I applied a light weight foundation to even out the skin, making it look flawless without that heavy “cakey” finish. Remember to use some bronzer to warm up the skin, giving a slight contour around the forehead, cheek bones and chin area adding some dimension. Lightly dust a small amount of blush right on the apples of the cheeks. This will brighten the face instantly!
Alicia’s New Year’s Eve Makeup Look:
I guarantee you can pull this look off in 10 to 15 minutes! The main focus is creating a smooth cat eye using either a gel liner or liquid liner. You can clean up the lines as it’s always a bit of a challenge to get them exactly the same. Use a q tip with some remover or a pointed liner brush with some remover to even the wings out and it will clean it up instantly. Next, I’ve added a champagne eye shadow right on the lid of the eyes with a copper eyeshadow contoured in the crease area. I’ve added a rose cheek to add a bit more colour to Alicia’s olive skin. Now it’s your turn to try!
